The young people learn six professions: Electronics technician for industrial engineering, IT specialist for system integration, warehouse logistics specialist, warehouse clerk, freight forwarding and logistics services clerk and automotive mechatronics technician. The logistics service provider has also filled a dual study place in the field of IT.

"Every year, we look forward to the first days with our new trainees. Introducing them to the interesting activities in our industry, training them to become qualified specialists and paving the way for a successful professional future is very important to us," says Berthold Kalthoff, Head of HR at Greiwing. By promoting young talent in-house, the company covers most of its own requirements for qualified personnel.

Following this year's start of training, 40 trainees are now employed by the logistics specialist. They are all looked after by a central contact person who is based at the company headquarters in Greven and is always ready to listen to their concerns. "Comprehensive and professional support for our junior staff is a priority for us," says Kalthoff. Each newcomer also has a training mentor from a higher apprenticeship year at their side.
