Anniversary

10 years of the Central German Logistics Network

The Central German Logistics Network was founded ten years ago not far from Leipzig/Halle Airport with the aim of supporting small and medium-sized companies in the logistics sector. On the occasion of the current network evening, the logistics experts once again gathered at the airport.

With around 140 members from all areas of logistics and related service providers, as well as from the research and education sector, the association has experienced strong growth. Martin Dulig, Saxon State Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport and Deputy Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony, congratulated the association on its anniversary and emphasized that "the Central German Logistics Network has made a name for itself as an important contact and driving force for the successful further development of the industry in the Free State of Saxony." Since 2016, regional branches in Dresden and Chemnitz have also been available as local points of contact for companies there, and the network even has a representative office in Moscow. "Founded by entrepreneurs, the aim of the network from the outset was to jointly address the issues that really move the industry. From initial collaborations to joint appearances at trade fairs around the world and innovative research projects with universities, the fields of activity have continuously expanded in line with the needs of entrepreneurs," says Toralf Weiße, Chairman of the Board of Netzwerk Logistik Mitteldeutschland.
