Panattoni Europe builds another warehouse for Dachser in Alsdorf

Panattoni Europe, the project developer for industrial and logistics real estate, is building approx. 7,071 square meters of warehouse space as well as office and social areas for the international logistics service provider Dachser. The new building is being constructed not far from Dachser's existing Maas-Rhein logistics center in Alsdorf near Aachen. Construction of the property began in October 2018.

With this user-specific property, Panattoni is aiming for sustainable construction in accordance with the DGNB Gold standard. Dachser will put the planned logistics hall into operation in June 2019. Following successful completions in Überherrn, Erlensee and Öhringen, this new building is the fourth project that Dachser has realized in collaboration with Panattoni.

Alsdorf near Aachen offers good transport links to the Ruhr area and the Netherlands. In addition, the new building in Konrad-Zuse-Straße is only four kilometers away from the existing Dachser logistics center Maas-Rhein. Logivest, a consultancy specializing in logistics real estate, acted as broker.

Thomas Burger, Department Head Real Estate at Dachser, explains the advantages of this user-specific real estate development: "The new building enables Dachser to expand its contract logistics business at the site. Panattoni is implementing this project in line with our specific requirements. The advantages of the location and the many years of cooperation with Panattoni speak for a successful project development."

Panattoni can draw on substantial experience, particularly in the development of user-specific built-to-suit projects such as this one. Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner of Panattoni Europe, is confident about the completion of construction in June of this year, because: "In times of lengthy approval procedures and capacity bottlenecks in construction, constructive cooperation between all parties involved is a decisive success factor. In this sense, the good cooperation with Dachser has already led to project success on several occasions."
