In a year characterized by change, SPS offers the automation industry an intelligent platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge transfer and the further development of technologies. As with the face-to-face event, particular emphasis was placed on the relevance and topicality of the topics when putting together the program. In addition to presentations on smart and digital automation, the agenda includes two different key topics each day, which will be explored in more detail in keynote speeches, specialist presentations, panel discussions and exhibitor contributions.

The topics range from cyber security and IT in manufacturing, robotics/functional safety/motion/DC infrastructure and artificial intelligence to intelligent operating concepts, sensor technology, Industry 4.0, digital twins and industrial communication. The range is rounded off by current topics such as the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the industry, for example in a presentation by Dr Gunther Kegel, President of ZVEI, entitled "Coronavirus - catalyst for digitalization?".

Gerd Hoppe (Corporate Management, Beckhoff Automation GmbH & Co. KG) and Dr. Marco Link (Managing Director, ADAMOS GmbH), who will talk about creating value from machine data with excitement, are among the speakers announced for the technical presentations. Presentations on the relevance of 5G will be given by Frank Hakemeyer (Director Marketing & Development Communication Interfaces, Phoenix Contact) and Dr. Andreas Müller (Chairman, 5G-ACIA). In addition, experts will present the latest technologies and approaches, for example from the areas of TSN and OPC UA as well as Single Pair Ethernet.

With an AI-supported matchmaking function, SPS Connect also offers interesting networking opportunities. Exhibitors and participants are brought together on the basis of their details in the search/offer area, their profile data and their individual user behavior.

Siemens and SPS Connect enter into partnership

Siemens, the largest PLC exhibitor for many years and a member of the exhibitor advisory board, and Mesago Messe Frankfurt have entered into a partnership for this year's SPS Connect.
