However, companies should find out about aspects such as maximum load capacity and lifting height, loading time and spare parts supply before making a purchase."

Compact design advantageous

Compact electric forklift trucks simplify loading and unloading processes considerably, especially in small businesses and workshops that regularly deliver or receive goods. Before making a purchase, however, you should consider the loads to be moved with the forklift truck, whether materials are also to be transported to higher storage areas and how much space is available in the warehouse for maneuvering.

This means that turning in tight spaces or between rows of shelves is also possible - and with dimensions of 900 millimetres wide and heights between 1,995 and 5,150 millimetres, passing through standard doors and gates is also no problem. What's more, the GSE12/4 even fits into most goods elevators.

Lithium-ion batteries: these are the advantages

Like all electric lifting devices from SolidHub, the GSE12/4 also runs on a Li-ion battery. The electric forklift truck can also be charged at standard 230 V household sockets and does not require high voltage current. Once charged, a storage capacity of 280 Ah results in a service life of four to six hours. "In contrast to conventional lead-acid batteries, Li-ion batteries offer several advantages. They can be charged in less time, which reduces downtime during operation. They also have a longer service life than lead-acid batteries, which results in lower maintenance costs and less frequent replacement. This is because, unlike lead-acid batteries, Li-ion batteries do not need to be regularly topped up with distilled water. Furthermore, they contain no heavy metals and are more environmentally friendly to dispose of," explains Effner.
