Crown launches new display for fleet management system
Crown is now offering a larger optional display module for all forklift trucks equipped with the InfoLink fleet management system: The new InfoLink 7-inch touch display is designed to provide even better user-friendliness with its extended functions.
The robust color LCD display simplifies operator onboarding and is designed to help increase both productivity and safety in day-to-day warehouse work. In future, it will also be available for all other Crown vehicles in addition to the ESR Seria.
The color LCD display has three programmable performance modes, and multiple language support allows the truck's operation to be customized for each user. "Our design approach is based on the conviction that advanced technology should be even easier to operate and more user-friendly. That's why we look at the interaction between the operator and the truck in detail during development to understand the work context, physiological needs and cognitive requirements as well as possible," says Horst Kirsch, Senior Manager Product Marketing at Crown EMEA.
When logging in, illustrated checklists guide the operator through the safety checks. Crown can customize the checklists in consultation with the customer. In addition, special safety reminders appear randomly on the screen during forklift operation. Additional Dynamic Coaching messages also aim to reinforce operator training and provide real-time feedback.
Integrated wireless connectivity enables access to corporate networks and the sharing of real-time data for productivity tracking and preventative service work, among other things. Wireless firmware downloads ensure that new features can be used for additional functions and that future, new application requirements can be taken into account as customer needs evolve.
