ESR 1000 reach truck from Crown wins the Good Design Award
Crown has received the Good Design Award for its reach trucks in the ESR 1000 series. The jury was particularly impressed by the technological innovations, including the newly developed Gena operating system and the Xpress Lower mast lowering function. The ESR 1000 series offers a user experience that is enhanced by connectivity, productivity that improves the economic result and a user-oriented design that customers expect from the Crown brand.
The award was presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. In 2020, the ESR 1000 series had already received the International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) Award due to its many innovations in terms of productivity, connectivity and operator safety.
The transport and logistics service provider Voigt Logistik has been using the reach truck for some time now and is impressed by the vehicle: "With the new ESR 1000 series, Crown has launched a truck onto the market that our operators really appreciate thanks to its many innovative features. These include the automatic lift height preselection, the residual capacity indicator and the new, intuitive Gena operating experience," says Jan-Peter Wingert, Site Manager at Voigt Logistik Neumünster.
Jim Kraimer, Director Industrial Design at Crown, is delighted: "This latest award marks Crown's 17th Good Design Award. This makes us proud and confirms once again that we are on the right track with our customer-oriented development processes". The Good Design Award was established in Chicago in 1950 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious prizes awarded worldwide for outstanding design achievements. To date, Crown has received more than 100 awards from internationally renowned design institutions and associations.
