The company employs over 16,100 people worldwide and supplies many of the world's best-known brand manufacturers and industry leaders. Now in its fourth generation, the Dicke family runs Crown from its headquarters in New Bremen. The company also operates regional headquarters in Germany, Australia, China and Singapore.

"I am honored to be a part of this company and proud of the reputation we have earned by working closely with our customers to increase the efficiency, productivity and safety of their operations. We would not be at this point without the support of our local communities and our unique employees. Our workforce is made up of ambitious people who are committed to our customers' success every day," said Jim Dicke III, President of Crown Equipment (pictured). "We are committed to continuing to develop cutting-edge technologies and innovative lift trucks that will advance the material handling and supply chains of our customers around the world. It's very exciting to imagine what our company will achieve over the next 75 years."

At the start of the new decade, in its 75th year, Crown continues to work closely with its customers to anticipate and incorporate a number of trends that will drive changes in the warehouse and supply chain into future product developments. A few examples:
- Strategic approach to connectivity
Customers are increasingly taking a strategic approach to connectivity with a view to tangible benefits and successful business development. Based on clear business objectives, this enables them to work towards measurable results.
- Control over data
Customers determine and prioritize the type of data they want to collect. To do this, they implement processes to get relevant, timely information to the right departments and people at the right time. Clearly presented, decision-relevant data enables meaningful operational changes and helps to break behavioral patterns.
- Flexible approaches to automation
The prioritization of tasks and devices that are best suited for automation is obvious. A clear path to a tangible return on investment is emerging for customers. They are building on this and driving their automation efforts accordingly in line with their fulfillment strategies.
- Improved user experience
Thanks to enhanced connectivity, fleet managers can offer employees a data-rich, more personalized operator experience that simplifies onboarding, increases productivity, enhances safety and improves employee retention.
