Because, like all live events, it had to be canceled last year. And because many new highlights and a completely new concept await the participants. "We're really looking forward to the kick-off," says Torsten Rochelmeyer, Tournament Director of the StaplerCup. His team has been busy in the coronavirus year 2020, turning the previous program upside down, fine-tuning new attractions and developing a comprehensive safety and hygiene concept. "Protecting everyone involved in the StaplerCup is our top priority," emphasizes Rochelmeyer.

From the Schlossplatz to the arena

Unlike in the past, the StaplerCup 2021 will not take place until the end of October. The finalists, who have already beaten the competition with flying colors in their respective regional championships between July and September, will compete against each other. Traditionally, the best of the best compete in the StaplerCup in one of the following three disciplines: German Forklift Driving Championship, Single Women; German Forklift Driving Championship, Single Men; Company Team Championship. In 2019, around 15,000 guests watched the thrilling competitions. This year, the event is moving from Schlossplatz in the center of Aschaffenburg to the f.a.n. frankenstolz arena. Rochelmeyer: "Our usual large supporting program with the ChampionsExpo exhibitor area, varied catering offers and a free closing concert is unfortunately not justifiable this time. We ask for your understanding. Instead, we are looking forward to a completely new, captivating course."

New: forklift drivers in a duel

This one has it all. And once again puts the spotlight on the heroes and heroines of forklift truck sport and their skills. After all, the StaplerCup is there to celebrate the enormous importance of forklift drivers for the logistics industry. "These people deliver top performance in their job every day. We are making this visible with our new, highly challenging course. Two drivers compete against each other on two parallel tracks and duel each other in terms of precision, skill, performance, concentration and speed. The tension is literally palpable." Packing, moving, placing, stacking and picking elements: The spectators join in the excitement in real time - almost as if they were sitting in the forklift cabin themselves.
