Still's plans for 2022
"We will launch an AMR on the market"
I am encouraged by many developments for 2022. The coronavirus pandemic has shown how important intralogistics, and with it automation, is - and not just because of the shortage of skilled workers. We will not stand still in 2022 and will launch an AMR that complements our automation portfolio. There will also be new products that focus on sustainability and energy management - aspects that are firmly anchored in Still's DNA. We want to continue the good digital communication with our customers, one of the most important lessons learned from the pandemic. Of course, physical contact is also very important to us - as far as possible - so we are aiming for a mix of online and face-to-face appearances. We are working on numerous aspects, participating in research projects, developing innovative technologies and pioneering processes, hardware and software. With this overall package, we want to continue to meet market needs in a targeted manner in the new year.
Economic trends are currently even more difficult to predict than they already are, but the VDMA is nevertheless forecasting higher growth rates for the global machinery industry in the coming year, which makes us optimistic. We are experiencing a pleasing economic expansion in many areas and a positive public perception of our industry, which is also reflected in our current order figures.
