From 5 to 150 HC sorters in five years: VanRiet multiplies installations
Since 2013, VanRiet Material Handling Systems has increased the number of HC sorters installed each year thirty-fold. In 2018, 150 sliding shoe sorters will be implemented for customers worldwide. The fully enclosed sorting solution can be used flexibly for different product groups and ensures reliable sorting results. The Dutch manufacturer of automated conveying and sorting solutions will be presenting the HC Sorter at CeMAT from April 23 to 27.

"The growing demand for the HC Sorter shows us that it is perfectly tailored to the needs of our customers," says Rik van den Boog, Managing Director at VanRiet. The sliding shoe sorter is characterized by individual customization options and can achieve high throughput rates. This makes it ideal for use in e-commerce and the CEP sector, which are characterized by short delivery times and high shipment volumes. The company's automatic conveying and sorting solutions are also used in the fashion, food and kitchen industries.
Demand for conveyor and sorting systems is growing not only on the German market, but also internationally. Customers in Poland, Serbia, China and the USA, among others, rely on VanRiet's solution.
The system specialist is bringing an HC Sorter to CeMAT. Visitors can see on site how the HC Sorter optimizes conveying and sorting processes. With a speed of up to three meters per second, the sliding shoe sorter can process 15,000 parcels within an hour. Small and narrow products as well as parcels weighing up to 50 kilograms can be conveyed and sorted at the same time. The closed deck means that the HC Sorter has the lowest operating noise level on the market. In addition, the frequency of maintenance is low, as lamellas on the surface prevent unwanted parts from getting inside the sorter.
