The latest from Gebhardt
Vertical efficiency in sorting
Efficient sorting in the smallest of spaces - that is the core competence of the new Speed-Sorter line from Gebhardt. With the vertical crossbelt sorter, the company is primarily targeting courier and parcel service providers as well as e-commerce providers.
There is an increasing demand for higher sorting performance, which users want to operate cost-effectively and implement in the tightest of spaces. The Speed-Sorter line as an outgoing goods sorter with manual direct infeed and feed to the toploader ensures error-free and efficient tour compilation and packing station allocation. At the same time, users benefit from maximum flexibility with infeeds and end points as well as the advantages offered by the proven principle of "mechanical meets digital".
Fast, fast, fast
Dynamism and immediacy perfectly describe the requirements for logistics centers. Once ordered, goods should reach the customer as quickly as possible. Delivery times are the decisive competitive factor. The Speed-Sorter line offers exactly that. The space-saving sorting solution with a vertical structure, the modular design and a customized layout easily combine the areas of incoming goods, storage, order picking and dispatch in one logistics system and realize an efficient, uninterrupted and reliable material flow. Thanks to a conveying speed of 1.8 meters per second, the sorter achieves a throughput of up to 14,000 items per hour - regardless of the goods to be sorted.
The sorter reliably and efficiently sorts containers, cartons, packets, parcels, polybags or paperbags - everything in the dimensional range of 150 x 100 x 20 to 600 x 600 x 500 millimetres and in the weight range of 0.1 to 35 kilograms. It moves longer items up to a maximum of 1,200 millimetres by using two carriers (double trays).
Robust mechanics and digital features
In addition to its performance, modularity and flexibility, the sorter scores with its reliable operation. This is because "mechanical meets digital" combines the robust and mechanical drives with the mechanical ejection principle with digital functions. The sorter records all the data contained in the sorting process and uses it to increase productivity and monitor the system. The result is a continuous check of all central components. In conjunction with the Galileo IoT platform from Gebhardt, signs of wear on individual sorter components can be predicted and enable preventive maintenance. The result is less downtime, greater reliability and guaranteed long-term process reliability. The combination of robust and powerful technology with intelligent control enables customers to meet today's requirements in terms of capacity requirements and throughput rates.
