Start-up Codept grows
The logistics platform of the start-up Codept enables the management of the entire life cycle from fulfillment to the last mile to returns after a one-time connection.
The young company was supported from the outset by Berlin-based company builder Beam - a BEUMER Group spin-off. For Codept, 2021 was extremely successful and a year of growth: for the team, turnover and transactions via the platform. However, the company remains silent about the amount of turnover and the number of employees; when asked, the company told materialfluss in general terms: "We are a start-up that is growing both in terms of turnover and the number of employees."
Codept is a cloud-based logistics platform for e-commerce that offers flexible warehousing and fulfillment throughout Europe. Retailers have easy access to a wide range of different logistics service providers with just one IT interface. This simplifies the exchange of data between e-commerce retailers and fulfillment service providers. With the support of the Beumer Group, the start-up was able to record enormous growth with its platform last year. "We doubled our team and were able to increase the number of transactions more than tenfold," says founder Felix Ostwald (pictured). He founded the company together with his partner Jonas Grunwald in 2019. According to the company, it has increased its turnover by over 400%.
Codept has developed from a platform provider to a technology partner for e-commerce companies, logistics companies, store and ERP systems and WMS. The start-up is benefiting in particular from the ongoing boom in online retail. "In 2021, we were able to acquire well-known customers such as Europe's leading shipping platform Sendcloud, the online craftsman store Contorion and the logistics company FIEGE," says Jonas Grunwald. "Our business model works. We want to expand further in 2022."
