Service contract with one of the largest freight terminals extended
Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics has been awarded the contract to continue to operate and maintain the cargo handling systems at the Cathay Pacific cargo terminal in Hong Kong. The extension of the service contract for several years is based on jointly defined key performance indicators (KPIs). With around 240,000 square meters, it is one of the largest cargo terminals in the world. The service contract covers the entire cargo handling systems of the freight terminal, which Siemens installed in 2013. In addition to providing support during ongoing operations, Siemens places particular emphasis on preventive maintenance in order to avoid system downtimes. The software system is monitored and maintained remotely.
