Pocket sorter

pb,

Piece of the puzzle for zero-touch logistics

psb will be focusing on psb Autopouch at its trade fair appearance in Stuttgart. Visitors can experience the pocket sorter version with automatically unloading pockets in live operation at the trade fair stand.

Thanks to the automatically opening and closing pockets, no further action by an operator is required for unloading, unlike the pocket sorters known to date. The Autopouch is therefore another piece of the puzzle for lean and timely zero-touch logistics. It is opened without stopping for automatic unloading. The pouch can be opened and the goods unloaded at almost any point in the system, enabling easy sorting into target containers or onto target conveyors. The new Autopouch considerably extends the range of applications for the pocket sorter. It can not only be used as a picking sorter, possibly with returns buffering, but also as a dispatch sorter. The combination of both functions in one system is also possible and achieves interesting synergy effects, such as the consistency of the system landscape and the reduction of acquisition costs. The psb crossbelt sorter will also be presented. The automated sorting system transports and sorts many different types of flat goods, such as totes, cartons, parcels and shipping bags. As a three-dimensional sorting system, the psb crossbelt sorter can be flexibly adapted to different customer requirements.
