- Only they can't walk. With a weight of 50 to 75 kilograms and a height of up to 174 centimetres, storing and moving the dolls used to be a logistical challenge for the staff of the midwifery department at the university in Bochum. The support arm trolley on which the dolls were stored was too large and too bulky for the cramped premises. In addition, the upper dolls were very difficult to reach. Since the introduction of the new storage system from Schmidt Auma, things have been running smoothly for the midwife trainers. The specially adapted paternoster now not only enables all work processes to be optimized, but also makes more efficient use of space. Fitted flush into the wall and utilizing the entire height of the room, the automatic storage lift offers space for up to seven mannequins. A mobile transport frame ensures back-friendly loading and unloading of the carousel.
