Ferag: Assembly processes efficiently linked

At Motek 2017, Swiss company Ferag AG presented a fully functional Skyfall line for linking different assembly processes. Visitors can experience live buffering, sorting and sequencing of injection-molded automotive components weighing up to 30 kilograms. The system on show in Stuttgart, whose hangers can be individually controlled in the same way as an electric monorail system, is characterized by numerous advantages. For example, a Skyfall system can be implemented quickly and cost-effectively and integrated into existing production halls with little effort. Thanks to the consistent use of gravity on inclines, it also impresses with its high energy efficiency. The system developed by Ferag is extremely reliable and failsafe. Aspects such as flexibility, scalability and operating costs also play an important role.
