Dematic wins Red Dot Design Award
Following the German Brand Award, this year Dematic also received the Red Dot Award in the Brands & Communication Design 2019 category for its Imagination Center. The expert jury of the design competition was particularly impressed by the product presentations in the Imagination Center.
For example, customers can configure a customized warehouse system with Dematic solutions in 3D and fly through it virtually. The intralogistics specialist came out on top against the competition in the "Interface & User Experience Design" category.
At the three theme islands "Smart", "Rapid" and "Flexible", customers can learn more about Dematic's technologies with the help of animated films. The wishes and requirements generated during the tour are incorporated into an initial warehouse configuration, which is visualized in 3D on a large screen. The Imagination Center concludes with a look into Dematic's TechCenter, where some of the technologies previously experienced virtually, such as the pocket sorting and multishuttle systems, can be seen live.
"In times of Industry 4.0, when the complexity of automation systems is increasing, it is becoming more and more important to involve customers interactively in the development process and show them possible solutions for their individual automation project at an early stage," says Jessica Heinz, Head of Marketing and Business Development Dematic Central Europe.
The award ceremony will take place on November 1 at the Red Dot Gala in the Konzerthaus Berlin.
