Cobots in the packaging process
Together with its solutions for sorting parcels and irregularly shaped items, Sitma presents the innovative technology of cobots and the evolution of packaging for e-commerce: the e-Wrap 2.0 model, originally designed for Aland Post Ltd, has been further developed by Sitma.
Taking efficiency, work management and costs into account, the e-Wrap 2.0 can be used to pack pack packs in different dimensions and film types and integrate complex work processes. The products are automatically removed with the help of e-Cobots. A feeding system enables the material-saving application of paper inserts without adhesive. The packaging machine works in a vertical direction and therefore adapts perfectly to the sorting systems. It packs the parcels to size and cuts, seals, weighs and labels at high speed.
