Sustainable packaging and stacking
Werit looks back on 75 years of company history this year. The supplier of industrial packaging and plastic products is working on new solutions for containers and packaging systems as well as their collection and recycling in the responsible use of resources.
One of these is the IBC modular system from Werit. It enables easy cleaning and economical reconditioning by replacing individual components. For used IBCs - regardless of manufacturer and design - the company offers free take-back via the so-called Packone ticket. This is Werit's way of guaranteeing resource-saving and economical reuse. The function and usability of the reconditioned IBCs are equivalent to new products. With Werit's different closed or open loop systems, individual customer-specific requirements can be met. The standard sizes of 600, 800 and 1,000 liters as well as the 300 liter Compactline or the NutriIline aseptic, a special container, are designed in such a way that they can be rotated and reconditioned in these circulation systems without any problems.
In high demand: solutions for pooling and logistics
Sustainability is also a top priority from an economic and ecological perspective in retail and in the pool and logistics services sector. Reusable transport packaging from Werit is durable and, according to the company, pays for itself over its entire life cycle.
When it comes to containers, Werit stackable containers can be a suitable choice for sustainable logistics solutions. Swivel stack containers can be stacked when full and are particularly stable thanks to their design. When empty, they can simply be nested inside each other and achieve a volume reduction of 65 percent. Werit's volume-reducible plastic containers are used in both internal and external logistics, as they are impact-resistant, break-proof and dimensionally stable and are therefore suitable for automatic conveyor technology in addition to manual handling.
The Euro H1 hygiene pallet is a particularly common pooling pallet. Werit is one of the manufacturers that produces these with the required GS1 certification. According to the manufacturer, the pallet impresses with its first-class hygiene standards, high dimensional stability, universal usability and therefore its cost-effectiveness. The Euro H1 hygiene pallet is a recognized load carrier in the meat industry. It is marked with the GS1 seal as a pooling pallet and can be exchanged throughout Europe. In addition to hygiene pallets, Werit offers IKP pallets in Euro and industrial sizes. IKP plastic pallets have a low tare weight and offer the option of additional equipment modules. They are versatile, resilient and durable.
Focus on ecological thinking
In addition to other sustainable activities, Werit is also a member of the UN Global Compact, an initiative for responsible corporate governance. According to the company, annual participation in the internationally recognized EcoVadis rating is also an important topic at Werit. With this rating, companies express how they deal with economic, social and environmental impacts.
