Specially developed within the BMW Group, the iw.hub transports goods with a maximum weight of up to 1,000 kg at a speed of up to 8 km/h. A Li-ion cell module from the BMW i3 supplies the 222 millimeter flat AMR with sufficient energy for continuous operation of at least eight hours, during which it navigates autonomously, detects and reacts to obstacles and loads and unloads goods independently. The iw.hub is characterized by "first-class coordination in mixed traffic with manual and autonomous industrial trucks and people", the company reports. It is implemented within two days.
