High picking performance with the Inther Group

With the live demonstration of the A-Frame, the Dutch system integrator Inther Group shows the structure and functionality of the fully automated system for the storage and provision of small, fast-moving items.

Two gravity ejectors run together from the sides at a 45-degree angle via a central conveyor belt - forming an "A" construction. On the outside, the system is equipped with a number of adjacent channels for storing items as required. The dimensions of the channel shafts can be flexibly tailored to the respective article sizes. The most recent development for this A-frame system is the integrated Puma (Positioning Unit Measurement Apparatus) measuring and positioning device, which moves above the conveyor system; it determines the number and dimensions of the products per order wave. Inther is also bringing a newly developed picking station for goods-to-person picking and the fully automated robotic picking solution Gripp (Gantry Robotic Intelligent Piece Picker) to Stuttgart.
