Fashion company Bestseller commissions Klinkhammer
Bestseller, an international fashion company, relies on Klinkhammer to build a high-tech logistics center with Exotec shuttle robots and automated carton and pallet handling.
With more than 20 individual fashion brands, Bestseller offers a wide range of fashionable clothing and accessories for children, teenagers and adults worldwide. The company has 17,000 employees worldwide.
The automated small parts warehouse planned for the Taulov logistics site in Denmark is designed for picking clothing and serves a large number of customers. The Exotec system connects cartons, containers and pallet conveyor technology with the dispatch area. A high degree of automation in carton handling with erector, volume reducer and sealer as well as labeling reduces throughput times. Bestseller chose Klinkhammer as the system integrator and the Exotec system because it can adapt flexibly to changing products, variants, order situations and structures. The shuttle robots form a combination of freely navigating vehicles for container transportation at floor level and vertically moving shuttles within a rack. Klinkware is used as the material flow computer.
