Premiere for new curtainsider and "digital helper"
At transport logistic 2019, Schmitz Cargobull will be focusing on new and enhanced transport solutions for greater efficiency and transparency in the fleet.
In addition to the premiere of the new S.CS Universal X-Light curtainsider semi-trailer, a series of new "digital helpers" such as the new "beUpToDate" app or the proactive control of the vehicle door lock via geofencing or the new Key Pad will be presented. The S.CS Universal X-Light saddle curtainsider weighs even less than its predecessors. With a tare weight from 4,975 kilograms, the curtainsider offers a higher payload without compromising on quality and robustness compared to its predecessor and therefore has a positive impact on the balance sheet both economically and ecologically.
The S.KO Cool Smart refrigerated box body is equipped with the Schmitz Cargobull TrailerConnect telematics system as standard. With the standard digital temperature recorder and numerous innovative functions, it ensures greater transparency and efficiency in the fleet. The entire S.CU refrigeration unit has been further developed. A modern common-rail diesel engine with 19 kilowatts of drive power is now responsible for the cooling and heating power in the refrigerated box body. Compared to the previous model, the weight has been reduced by 50 kilograms and fuel consumption by up to 10 percent.
With two new apps, Schmitz Cargobull is making the monitoring of loads and trailers more efficient and transparent. Users are informed in real time via push notifications on their smartphone. Schmitz Cargobull has further developed the TrailerConnect beSmart app especially for drivers. The new TrailerConnect beUpToDate app is designed to meet the needs of fleet managers and dispatchers. It informs all telematics portal users, also via smartphone, about the current locations of their trailer fleet and about downtimes and movement data.
