49 articulated trucks for air freight transporters in use
Emirates Sky Cargo relies on MAN TGS
On behalf of Emirates Sky Cargo, 49 MAN TGS 19.400 semi-trailers connect the two major airports Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates by land.
The MAN TGS 19.400 semitrailer tractors in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ensure that the air freight carrier can meet its tight schedules. The Emirates Air Freight Center is located at Al Maktoum Airport in the UAE, while the Emirates passenger fleet is stationed at Dubai International Airport, 65 kilometers away.
As Emirates also handles air freight with its passenger fleet, many goods have to be transported by land between the two airports. Emirates Sky Cargo relies on the services of Allied Transport Company (ATC) for this. The 49 MAN trucks from the ATC fleet are used exclusively for the services of Emirates Sky Cargo.
Around 19 million kilometers covered
The two-axle MAN TGS 19.400 semitrailer tractors with LX cabs are on the road day and night between the two major airports with volume-optimized air freight box trailers. In the four years of cooperation to date, the MAN TGS semi-trailers have covered around 19 million kilometers. Well over a million air freight containers have been transported from one airport to the other during this time.
