Andreas Kupfer heads German UTA sales
The main tasks of the experienced manager are the further expansion of the market position and the reorganization of sales, with which customer contact in Germany is to be intensified. Kupfer will report directly to UTA CEO Volker Huber. Andreas Kupfer has almost 20 years of sales experience. The business administration graduate began his career in 1998 at his father's service company Heinz Kupfer GmbH & Co KG. After selling the company, the now 42-year-old moved to a subsidiary of the IT system house group Bechtle AG at the beginning of 2001, where he was most recently responsible for several teams with an annual budget of 65 million euros as Head of Sales.
From 2006, Kupfer took over responsibility for two sales teams as Director Specialized Sales at Tech Data GmbH & Co. KG and set up a Business Development Tele Sales Team at the same time. The sales specialist has been working as a freelance interim manager since 2009. Kupfer joined UTA in this role at the end of 2015, initially heading up the Sales Controlling & Business Development department. "We are delighted that we have been able to fill the important key position of Country Manager Germany with such an experienced sales expert who already knows our internal processes very well," says Volker Huber, CEO at UTA. "With him, we will continue to expand our market position in the highly competitive German market environment in a targeted manner." Not only is the Country Manager new, the sales organization has also been restructured and will be based on three pillars in the future: While Key Account Management develops important key accounts, Field Management is responsible for the classic large fleets. For the first time, UTA is directly addressing SMEs with its own sales unit, thus ensuring that these customers are served quickly and in line with their requirements. "Once the realignment is complete, we will be in a more powerful position and will be able to act more proactively in the markets," explains Volker Huber. "After all, we not only want to achieve double-digit growth internationally, but also in our domestic market in the coming years." red
