With currently more than 1,400 employees and 1,450 transports per day and corresponding storage space, Elflein covers the business areas of transportation, system transports (JIT/JIS), warehousing and logistics as well as outsourcing of transportation and warehousing.

Two 10-ton axles
The Kögel 2-axle volume trailers, which are well suited for supplying the automotive industry, are equipped with a reinforced chassis frame for 10-ton axles. This means that Elflein benefits from a lower tare weight, smoother running thanks to the longer axle spacing of 1,810 millimeters and lower operating and fuel costs. Loading and unloading three stacked pallet cages is easy thanks to the clear internal height of three meters and the mechanical-hydraulic lifting roof, which is part of the standard equipment. It increases the side loading height at the front by 600 millimetres and at the rear by 600 millimetres to over three meters.

In addition to advantages such as the new air and light console on the front wall, which transfers the forces into the frame via the side member, the new outer frame profile, which greatly increases the accessibility of the Vario-Fix lashing points, and the variable slat pockets, the Kögel Mega trailers come with extensive standard equipment. The 13 pairs of lashing brackets included as standard are equipped with side grip hooks for easier handling and have a tensile force of 2,500 kilograms. The Mega trailers are also certified in accordance with DIN EN 12642 Code XL. For use in the automotive segment, the Mega semi-trailers meet the requirements of Daimler guideline 9.5 for load securing in conjunction with the necessary individual equipment such as a pallet stop and an end wall doubling.

Individually equipped
The trailers also have the Kögel Strong & Go body. It consists of the body of the Novum generation in combination with a Kögel integral roof tarpaulin reinforced with belt stiffeners. Thanks to this solution, insertion slats are no longer necessary to comply with DIN EN 12642 Code XL and Daimler Directive 9.5 when transporting lattice boxes and banded loads. Further individual equipment includes an axle lift for the second axle, toolboxes, LED clearance lights, LED multi-chamber lights, storage for 32 insertable slats and much more.

Long-lasting protection against corrosion
In the 88 Kögel trailers, the entire vehicle frame is protected against corrosion in the long term by Nano-Ceramic technology plus KTL coating with subsequent UV painting.

Elflein obtains the new Kögel trailers from Leckert Fahrzeughandel, Kögel's authorized dealer in northern Bavaria and southern Hesse.
