With Kasto by light beam to the storage area
Kasto presents a practical innovation for its Unitower tower storage system: the long goods and sheet metal storage system is now available with an integrated pick-by-light function.
It guides the operator to the required item with the aid of a light beam. The pick-by-light function is helpful in warehouses in which the pallets or cassettes are divided into several compartments. It is integrated into the Kasto warehouse control system and receives information from it as to which item is to be stored or retrieved for the respective order. Once the load carrier has been placed on the station, the contents of the cassette are illuminated with a light beam. The operator recognizes the correct compartment and can store or remove the goods without errors. This reduces the time required and errors caused by incorrect allocation. The Unitower is available in two versions: for storing long goods or for sheet metal and flat products as well as containers. The tower storage systems are designed as a modular system with individual modules, making it easy to implement customized solutions. The Unitower is available as a single or double tower. The storage and retrieval stations can be positioned in any number on the front or wide side of the storage tower as well as on different levels.
