DK Company equips warehouse with the help of NC Nielsen and AR Racking
AR Racking's Danish strategic distributor, NC Nielsen, completed the design and installation of the new warehouse for fashion group DK Company in Ikast, Denmark, in an exceptional nine weeks, managing the project from design to completion.
DK Company has developed into one of Europe's leading suppliers of men's and women's fashion brands. The Danish company, which is represented in 35 different markets, operates a new, 11,000m2 factory to accommodate the growth of recent years. In 2021, the company generated 20 percent more revenue than in the previous year, and the forecast for 2022 points in the same direction. The warehouse area, which covers 3,000m2 of the total area, is characterized by its versatility and the quick retrieval of goods. NC Nielsen took into account the large number of items and the variety of product volumes, for which a solution with conventional pallet racking was designed, in which levels for manual picking operations were also integrated. The warehouse now has a total of 4,000 pallet spaces, 60 percent of which are reserved for order picking.
DK Company approached NC Nielsen with an urgent need for a flexible, easy to configure, secure and adaptable warehouse. "It was a very quick and continuous process: from the first meeting to the first layout to the order and completion of the assembly, it took a total of 9 weeks," explains Niels Henrik Hagelskjær, Warehouse Manager at DK Company.
For more than five decades, NC Nielsen has been known for its reliability, specialized service and commitment to quality. "DK Company needed a swiftly executed project, and with a first-class racking manufacturer and supplier like AR Racking, we were able to fully focus on planning, designing and consulting to provide our customers with the best storage solution in the most competitive timeframe possible," explains Lars Kjærgaard Stenberg, Project Manager at NC Nielsen.
