Gebhardt wins contract for "Counting Line" from Dansk Retursystem
The Gebhardt Intralogistics Group has been awarded the contract by Dansk Retursystem A/S for the internal logistics facility for process decoupling and company modernization at the newly created company site in Taastrup, Denmark.
The private, non-profit company Dansk Retursystem is owned by several breweries. As its core business, the company has the exclusive rights in Denmark to collect and sort empty single-use beverage packaging (PET bottles, aluminum cans and glass bottles) and make it available for recycling at external processing plants.
In order to meet the growing demands and larger volume of beverage packaging, the company was looking for a conveyor and storage technology manufacturer to improve the automated processes and chose Gebhardt.
The new production facility, which covers two floors and a total area of around 6,000 square meters, will automate the processes of goods receiving, goods distribution, intermediate buffer, deposit counting and feeding for material sorting and preparation. The heart of the system will be a nine-aisle container buffer warehouse, which will make it possible to decouple the various processes in future and enable continuous counting of deposit bottles.
Gebhardt is supplying more than 500 meters of pallet conveyor technology, 200 meters of belt conveyor technology, 550 meters of container conveyor technology as well as three automated guided vehicles and up to eleven stacking and destacking units for the new system.
"We are delighted to have an experienced partner for our new plant. Internal logistics systems are GEBHARDT's core competence and we look forward to bringing their high-quality equipment and technology to our plant," says Lars Krejberg Petersen, CEO of Dansk Retursystem.
