Software meets warehouse technology - ifD and Dambach with a new partnership
The companies iFD and Dambach Lagersysteme announced their strategic partnership for material flow systems on January 12, 2021.
The collaboration simplifies the implementation of material flow systems with integrated control, storage technology and conveyor systems. According to the company, pallet shuttle systems and electric floor conveyor systems can thus be implemented faster and more economically: "Customers benefit from the flexible scope of supply and services of both companies - starting with conveyor and storage technology components, through standardized material flow control systems, to connection to ERP systems. Additional services such as the simulation of system processes support general contractors in their choice of system. The two companies, which will continue to operate independently, will also benefit from a cross-divisional technology exchange," reports ifD.
As materialfluss also learned, Dambach Lagersysteme GmbH & Co. KG has no equity interest in iFD GmbH. The cooperation would provide the opportunity to offer joint customers (general contractors and system integrators) an extended range of services.
iFD GmbH has been planning, developing and supplying software systems for automated and manual areas of intralogistics in industry and trade worldwide since 1990. With experience in process planning and implementation and a research and development department for software systems, iFD GmbH is a provider of logistics software. With over 120 employees, iFD is a development service provider for material flow systems and warehouse management solutions.
Dambach Lagersysteme has been developing and producing storage and conveyor technology solutions, including the associated control systems, for over 45 years. As a partner to system integrators and general contractors, storage and retrieval machines, shuttle systems, conveyor technology and electric floor conveyors are used worldwide.
