Shuttle system SSI Cuby faster and more beautiful
SSI Schaefer has technically optimized its SSI Cuby shuttle system and updated its design. The increased travel speed will ensure even faster storage and retrieval for small load carriers weighing up to 35 kilograms.
To make storage and retrieval even faster, the shuttle's travel speed has been increased by a further 60% as part of the product enhancements. Further increases in throughput are possible through the use of two lifters per rack aisle. The processes in the SSI Cuby shuttle warehouse are controlled by the Wamas logistics software. The system consists of a rack, at least one lifter, one shuttle per storage level, a shuttle crane at the rear, the maintenance platforms and the associated control system. During development, care was taken to offer maximum shuttle performance at an attractive TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
Due to the narrow travel paths for the shuttle vehicle and the low level division, the shuttle warehouse has a compact and space-saving system layout. The combination of double-deep storage in the racking with a single-deep shuttle aisle results in good space utilization and high storage density.
