Focus on scalability and space efficiency

Kardex Mlog presented solutions for modern intralogistics at LogiMAT. The container shuttle MCrossDrive 3D, the pallet shuttle MMove and the space-saving load handling device MSpacer were met with great interest.

At the joint stand for integrated solutions consisting of logistics modules and software components from all Kardex divisions, Kardex Mlog showed how space-efficient logistics systems can be realized for different requirements. The company wants to emphasize dynamics, space efficiency, flexibility and scalability in its logistics modules. Variable concepts are designed to support growth from start-ups to high-volume companies.

Container shuttle with high speed
The MCrossDrive 3D container shuttle enables high handling rates thanks to its high travel speeds. MCrossDrive 3D is neither lane-bound nor level-bound and can move practically freely in longitudinal, transverse and vertical directions. Previously unused space can therefore be used as storage space. The basic version consists of a rack dimensioned according to the required capacity, an MCrossDrive 3D and a vertical lifter and can be expanded with additional shuttles and/or rack extensions as demand increases.

Flexible transport platform
The MMove transport platform is suitable for pallets and pallet cages weighing up to 1,200 kilograms, can change aisles independently in the racking and can be used in a variety of ways. Application variants include in combination with storage and retrieval machines for multi-deep storage, on distribution trolleys or as a pure transport system.

Using rooms more efficiently
Using MSpacer technology, the company also aims to further maximize space efficiency. The telescopic fork for double-deep storage reduces space consumption by around 10% compared to a conventional high-bay warehouse. The solution allows the pallets in the second row to be stored on the same level as the pallets in the first row. "The great, ongoing interest in our modules shows how strongly the demand for flexible and scalable solutions is growing," concludes Hans-Jürgen Heitzer, Head of Division at Kardex Mlog.
