Efficient flow of goods for delicatessen products
In future, the finished goods logistics of delicatessen manufacturer Heinrich Kühlmann will be handled in a new logistics center. The processes there will be controlled by TEAM's ProStore warehouse management system (WMS).
It uses the strategy engine to store the delivered goods. The picking areas are automatically supplied with replenishments via ProStore. Mobile terminals are used for paperless picking, separated into self-service and bulk consumer articles. The pallets ready for dispatch are provided in an outgoing goods area or loaded directly. WMS ProStore also manages raw materials. Production supply takes place at the request of the ERP system Navision. ProStore is being introduced in stages. Initially, ProStore will control the warehouse processes for the product range in the food retail sector, followed by the integration of the processes in the specialist wholesale, packing and raw materials handling sectors. mm
