LogiMAT 2023
LIS with new WinSped feature
The Greven-based software manufacturer LIS Logistische Informationssysteme will be presenting a new development at LogiMAT, a further development of its WinSped transport management system (TMS) at the international trade fair from April 25 to 27 in Stuttgart.
The new "Graphical hall layout" function is part of the "Cross Docking Center" module and is used to graphically display the change of means of transport in the hub. It simplifies the handling of partial and groupage transports by visually displaying the transshipment hall and the loading and unloading status of trucks there using a traffic light system. With the release of the latest WinSped version in April 2023, the layout will become an integral part of the Cross Docking Center.
"We are using the renowned LogiMAT, which is attended by a high-caliber trade audience, to present another new feature of our TMS WinSped. With the new function in the Cross Docking Center module, warehouse handling can be visualized and thus controlled much more easily," promises Magnus Wagner, Co-CEO of LIS.
While the previous version listed all relevant consignment data in tabular form, this data is now also presented graphically. The user can get an overview of the entire transshipment hall at a glance.
For example, the gate status is displayed using a traffic light. In this context, a white dot indicates an unoccupied gate. If there is a truck at the gate that still needs to be loaded or unloaded, the traffic light shows red. During the loading and unloading process, the display changes to yellow and finally switches to green as soon as this process is complete. In this way, free gates as well as ongoing and completed handling processes can be identified within a few seconds. In addition, a percentage display provides information on the current progress of loading or unloading. The system also allows the user to choose between several halls and individual gates per hall. The sequence in which the trucks are loaded or unloaded can also be viewed - including vehicle, order and tour numbers.
A realistic representation of the hall ensures clarity: while the hubs are still displayed as a simple rectangle with the respective number of gates, users will in future be able to use an editor to create graphics that correspond exactly to the floor plan of the building.
At the LIS stand F65 in Hall 8, visitors to LogiMAT will be able to gain their own impression of the possibilities and performance of the new tool.
In addition, LIS Co-CEO Magnus Wagner and Hanna Cordes, Director Progressive Mobility Fleet & Logistics at Robert Bosch GmbH, will speak on the topic of "Open Logistics Operating System - intelligently combining digital solutions". The presentation will take place as part of the Innovations Forum.
