Hartmann International relies on WMS from proLogistik

The new 20,000 m² building meets the latest sustainability standards and will be connected to the existing transshipment hall. The processes upstream of goods distribution at both locations will be controlled by the WMS pL-Store from proLogistik in future.

In Paderborn, Hartmann International is responsible for handling logistics services for a growing number of clients from sectors such as food, industrial, healthcare and consumer goods, as well as for start-ups. In addition to warehousing, the full-service logistics provider takes on further activities such as picking, packing, labeling, display construction and, on request, the worldwide transport of goods. Various storage technologies such as narrow and wide aisle racking are currently used for stocking.

In the future, however, automated goods-to-person solutions from lead general contractor Still will also be increasingly used for order picking, which will also be linked to the warehouse management system (WMS) pL-Store. The new building is also a reaction to the increasing boom in e-commerce and an investment in the future. Due to the recent massive disruptions in global supply chains, European companies are once again increasingly opting to store goods close to their own production sites, which is leading to further demand for logistics space. Andreas Hartmann, Managing Partner of Hartmann International GmbH & Co KG, comments: "For us, it is a matter of course to act sustainably today.

We will further strengthen this commitment with the new location. The standardized Warehouse Management System from proLogistik with its comprehensive range of functions will provide valuable assistance, as optimized processes will not only speed up order processing overall and make it more efficient. At the same time, we will gain flexibility and integrate responsible resource management."
