Label printing
"Color printing on demand" in an economical way
Labels should be informative, legally compliant, product-oriented and attractive. They support the value of a brand, particularly in the food and beverage industry or in the consumer goods sector. Color printing on demand helps with implementation.
At the same time, they serve as an orientation aid for consumers in the sometimes almost unmanageable variety of products and information. It is therefore not surprising that the label receives special attention today. Black and white is still largely the standard, but color is increasingly coming into play. Even in many smaller businesses and manufactories, as well as for printing admission tickets in museums and at events or for identification in warehouses, color labels are being used more and more frequently.
If large quantities are required, the labels still usually have to be ordered from a print shop. Taiwanese printer manufacturer TSC Auto ID has now developed an efficient, economical solution for printing color labels in small to medium runs or even from batch size 1, which is also characterized by print quality and color brilliance. The two models CPX4D and CPX4P can be used in areas such as access control and ticketing, for product and shelf labeling in retail, for labeling hazardous substances and chemicals, in parcel shipping and for printing colour name and information signs.
At 300 mm per second, the TSC printers offer the fastest printing speed in their class. They also score points with the usable material properties in terms of width and length as well as low costs for consumables and per printed page. Thanks to a print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi, even miniature labels measuring 25.4 x 6 mm can be printed accurately and with good color quality. The difference between the two models is that the CPX4D model uses dye ink. Here, dyes color the ink liquid. With the CPX4P, the color is created by color pigments suspended in the ink liquid.
Financial benefits and flexibility
With "colour printing on demand", companies benefit above all from the financial advantages of purchasing standardized label material in larger quantities, as the labels are only printed individually and in color in-house. The search for a suitable supplier for printed labels and long delivery times for the ordered goods are now a thing of the past. The TSC solution also offers advantages in terms of flexibility, as design changes can be made quickly and variable data sets can be applied to the label during the printing process. This enables users to react spontaneously to changes in legislation and individual customer requirements.
