Vahle Automation now fully part of the parent company
The Vahle Group has acquired 100 percent of Vahle Automation GmbH with effect from May 1. The Kamen-based system provider founded the joint venture together with the Tyrolean DETO Group in 2013.
In recent years, the joint venture has successfully developed into the Vahle Group's innovation and technology center for automation solutions. In future, the subsidiary in Schwoich will serve as a development site for the entire product portfolio of the specialist for mobile industrial applications.
"Vahle supplies holistic system solutions for mobile industrial applications. The automation division completes our product portfolio. We therefore offer our customers an all-round package consisting of energy transmission, positioning, data transmission and control technology," explains Achim Dries, CEO of the Vahle Group. The Kamen-based company founded the joint venture Vahle Automation GmbH as an innovation center together with the Austrian control specialist DETO. "Vahle Automation has now been a full part of the parent company since May 1, 2021," says Dries.
Alfred della Torre, founder of the DETO Group, will withdraw from the joint venture as planned as part of the takeover. "In just under ten years, the Vahle Automation team has succeeded in establishing a development site, including a demo factory, and winning over renowned international customers with innovations in the field of automation solutions," says Dries. As a result, the subsidiary and its employees have become an important part of the Vahle Group.
The system provider therefore continues to rely on the innovative strength of the Tyrolean site and the team's extensive technical expertise. "Together with our research and development department at the headquarters in Kamen, Vahle Automation will form a technology axis," says Dries, outlining the plans. The demo factory in Schwoich, where the team of experts will turn new technologies and innovations into reality, will serve as the basis for dynamic progress. In addition, Vahle Automation will specifically strengthen itself in the areas of hardware and software development as well as project management and focus on cooperation with universities and technical colleges in the region.
