New: DM 0138
Interroll extends the performance range of its synchronous drum motors
The company presented what it claims is the world's most powerful synchronous drum motor for belt conveyor systems, with an output of 1.8 kilowatts. The new drive, which meets the highest hygiene requirements, can be used to implement dynamic and automated material flow solutions.
The new DM 0138 synchronous drum motor extends Interroll's range of synchronous motors upwards in order to open up new applications for customers and users, especially in highly dynamic logistics centers and in the food industry. Like the existing DM 0080 and DM 0113 series, the new DM 0138 offers maximum acceleration and braking performance with very low energy consumption and the ability to position conveyed goods on a system without the use of additional sensors, simplifying the integration of packaging and other processing machines into an automated flow of goods, for example. The new synchronous motor with a diameter of 138 mm and an output of 1.8 kilowatts also impresses with its design: comparable outputs could previously only be achieved with conventional asynchronous motors with a diameter of 165 mm.
"More and more companies around the world appreciate the advantages of modern synchronous drum motors, which combine compactness with high functionality and economy. This is particularly true for users who have high demands in terms of automation or hygiene, such as in the food industry. With this strategic expansion of our drum motor platform, we are once again helping system integrators and users to make even better use of their business opportunities," explains Dr. Hauke Tiedemann, Managing Director of Interroll Trommelmotoren GmbH in Baal, Germany.
The new DM 0138 synchronous motor can be ordered from the beginning of April 2021 and is also available as an oil-free version. Like all drum motors from Interroll, the construction and design of the fully enclosed drive comply with the guidelines of the EHEDG (European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group). In order to meet even the strictest requirements, only materials certified in accordance with USDA/FDA specifications and EU Regulation EC 1935/2004 are used.
