Bruno Schnekenburger has been CEO of Yaskawa Europe since the beginning of March. The former COO of the company succeeds Manfred Stern, who will continue in his role as Regional Head of Yaskawa Europe.

Prior to his role as COO, Schnekenburger was responsible for the robotics division at Yaskawa Europe for over four years. "Bruno Schnekenburger has made a significant contribution to the success of Yaskawa in Europe in recent years and is therefore ideally qualified to take over the CEO position," says Stern, who will continue to hold his position on the board of the Japanese parent company. He will also focus on further networking with associations, social groups and politics within Yaskawa Europe. Manfred Stern was the first European to be appointed to the management board of the Japanese technology group's European subsidiary in 2008. "Since 2010, we have not only succeeded in significantly expanding our presence in Europe with average double-digit sales growth, but we have also been able to restructure the management in such a way that we now have a team of internationally experienced European managers. On the basis of recent sales of 600 million euros and more than 1900 employees, we want to set up the management in such a way that we can now initiate the next steps in our growth strategy," explained Stern.
