Steffen Schick heads FleetLogistics
With effect from December 1, Steffen Schick (53) is the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the FleetLogistics Group, Europe's largest independent fleet management company. He takes over from Michael Beck (CFO), who has held the position on an interim basis since March 2019.
Steffen Schick has many years of experience in the automotive industry. From 2008 to 2017, he held various positions at the Autovista Group, most recently as Chief Strategy Officer. Schick previously worked at Fleet Logistics International from 2005 to 2008, including as Chief Operational Officer. Before his current move to FleetLogistics, the business graduate was the founder and Managing Director of the consulting firm Polarlys.
"With Steffen Schick, a leader with extensive expertise in the automotive industry and fleet management is taking the helm at FleetLogistics. The brand neutrality of the vehicle portfolio and independence from leasing companies will continue to be the most important cornerstones of the corporate strategy in the future," explains Patrick Fruth, Head of the Auto Service Division at TÜV SÜD.
FleetLogistics was founded in 1996. The company employs around 380 people worldwide and is active in over 70 countries. Its customers include major national and international fleet customers. With a total fleet of around 180,000 vehicles, FleetLogistics is one of the world's largest independent fleet management service providers. The service portfolio is divided into the areas of fleet management, fleet consulting and fleet reporting. TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of TÜV SÜD AG, took over the company as sole shareholder in 2012. On November 1, 2019, Volkswagen Financial Services AG acquired 60 percent of the shares from TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH. In future, Fleet Logistics will be managed jointly by both shareholders as part of a joint venture.
