Dennis Spamer becomes additional managing director
Pharmaceutical logistics company Movianto strengthens German management team
In order to secure the further expansion of Movianto Germany, the company, which as part of the Walden Group is the market leader for pharmaceutical logistics in Europe, has appointed 38-year-old Dennis Spamer to the management board. Together with Managing Director Thomas Creuzberger, who has managed Movianto for more than 20 years, and Stéphane Baudry, founder and CEO of the Walden Group, Spamer will drive the further development of the industry specialist.
In addition to his new role as Managing Director of Movianto Germany, Dennis Spamer will remain responsible for the Movianto Group's Northern Region as Commercial Director. In addition to Germany, this includes Austria, Switzerland, the Benelux countries, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Scandinavia. Movianto is active in a total of eleven European countries with its own locations and now employs more than 3,000 people.
Spamer, who holds a degree in business administration, has been with Movianto for five years and previously worked for other logistics companies in the healthcare sector. His focus as the new Managing Director will be on corporate development, sales and transportation. "With Dennis Spamer, the next generation is joining the management team at Movianto Germany," explains Thomas Creuzberger (59). "He and his team have played a major role in the positive development of our company in recent years."
In Germany, Movianto currently operates from three locations, employs 550 people and has more than 82,000 storage locations for pallets. "The special thing about Movianto is its consistent specialization in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry," says Spamer. "That's why our sites are not only certified according to quality standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, but also according to the EU GDP for pharmaceuticals, we store medicines in different temperature zones and have specially secured anaesthetic storage facilities." In addition to warehouse and transport management, Movianto also handles manufacturing processes such as packaging, repackaging, customer service and order processing for its customers, from order acceptance to receipt of payment.
