Markus Kanis joins the Imperial Logistics team

Markus Kanis has taken on the new position of Executive Vice President - Industrial & Chemical at Imperial Logistics International. Kanis, who reports to CCO Sandro Knecht, will be responsible for developing the future strategy for these markets and building strategic alliances from the Zurich office. He will set up regional sales teams to win new business and develop customized logistics solutions for multinational customers in all regions using Imperial Logistics' in-depth expertise.

In his logistics career to date, he has held a number of management positions in logistics and industry. Among others, he was General Manager Logistics (Operations) at Danzas, Head of European Distribution Sales and Logistics Key Account Management at Kuehne + Nagel, Global Head of Logistics, Demand and Supply Chain Management - Biotech & Pharmaceutical at Johnson & Johnson and member of the Executive Board of its subsidiary Janssen Pharmaceutical and most recently Global Head Business Unit - Industrial, Chemical and Aviation - Sales and Business Development at Kuehne + Nagel. He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Trade and Freight Forwarding from the EIAB Business School for Foreign Trade, Basel.
