They succeed Thomas Walther and Thomas Wiederer, who retired in December 2021 after several decades with the company.

Dominik Lemken and Thomas Heilen, two experienced employees and long-standing authorized signatories, have been appointed Managing Directors. Dominik Lemken is now responsible for sales, project management and logistics. The 41-year-old mechanical engineer and Master of Business Administration has been with the company since 2013 and previously worked for two international plant engineering companies. Initially in the role of Assistant to the Management Board and since 2016 as Head of Project Management, he has been instrumental in driving forward the strategic focus on project customers and special solutions at WALTHER Faltsysteme. Oliver van Neerven will now take over as Head of Project Management.

As Managing Director, Thomas Heilen is now responsible for Finance, Marketing, Purchasing and IT & Digital. The 38-year-old joined WALTHER Faltsysteme back in 2004 after training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant. Most recently, the Master of Arts in Marketing & Sales headed the IT & Digital, Internal Process Management and Strategic Procurement Management departments. Thomas Heilen is now handing over responsibility for IT and Digital to Natalie Priebe.

Farewell after a combined 67 years with the company

With Thomas Walther and Thomas Wiederer, not only did the two previous managing directors leave the company in December, but also two people who had been part of Walther Faltsysteme since the founding years. The systematic marketing of the folding box idea in Germany and Europe began in 1982 when Thomas Wiederer joined the company as sales manager. In 2011, the trained industrial clerk was appointed Managing Director.

In 1994, Thomas Walther, now 63, took over as managing partner from his father and company founder Rolf F. Walther. Under the management of the business graduate, the company moved from Mülheim to Kevelaer. In addition to folding boxes, the product range was expanded to include MegaPacks, roll containers and pallets, and well-known customers were acquired. The extreme growth of recent years has taken place under his leadership.

"We would like to thank Thomas Walther and Thomas Wiederer for a total of 67 years of commitment and passion for this company. Without the drive and leadership qualities of these two managers, WALTHER Faltsysteme would not be where we are today. With them, two formative personalities are leaving the company," says Dominik Lemken in thanks. "Together with Thomas Heilen, I would now like to continue this strategy and lead the company into the future with new impetus."

Thomas Walther is optimistic that he is placing his legacy in the right hands: "Dominik Lemken and Thomas Heilen have known the company for many years and have proven in their management positions that they are the right people for the challenges ahead."
