Deutsche Messe wants to help the war refugees by setting up an exhibition hall as temporary accommodation. "It is a great need for us to help the people fleeing from Ukraine, to offer them protection and refuge in their time of need. We are therefore working closely with the Hanover Fire Department to prepare Exhibition Hall 27 for an initial 800 people and later for another 400," says Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board of Management, Deutsche Messe AG.

Donations in kind are coordinated by the Ukrainian Association in Lower Saxony. Warm clothing and shoes, hygiene articles, sleeping mats, first aid kits, flashlights and sleeping bags are needed. The Ukrainian parish of St. Volodymyr in Hanover, Hannoversche Straße 122 in Misburg, accepts donations in kind from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 17:30. Questions about donations in kind can be answered by calling 0174-6052737.

The association can be supported here with donations for humanitarian aid.
