Krone repositions itself strategically
Bernard Krone becomes Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Krone
Bernard Krone, Managing Partner of Bernard Krone Holding, and Alfons Veer, Chairman of the Board of Management of Krone Holding, were elected to the Supervisory Board of Krone Holding at the beginning of January. Bernard Krone takes over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Alfons Veer acts as Deputy Chairman.
Following the departure of former Supervisory Board member Bernard ten Doeschate, the Krone Supervisory Board now includes Philip Freiherr von dem Bussche, Dr. Wilfried Holtgrave and Bernd Meerpohl.
With the appointment of Bernard Krone and Alfons Veer to the Supervisory Board, the Krone Group is strategically preparing itself for the diverse current and future challenges of the agricultural machinery and commercial vehicle industry.
"There are already 102 companies operating under the umbrella of the Krone Group, 65 of which are operational. In order to be able to manage the company in the best possible way, I have decided to move to the top of the Supervisory Board and thus the highest supervisory body. Together with my experienced and competent colleagues on the Supervisory Board, I will continue to manage the Krone Group from this overarching position. This will ensure the continuation of our corporate philosophy, which has been geared towards long-term business success and sustainable profitable growth through far-sighted thinking and action for four generations now. As Chairman of the Supervisory Board, I will fully focus on the further strategic development of the company and at the same time keep Krone on its proven course as an innovative, owner-managed family business based in Emsland," says Bernard Krone.
Alfons Veer was succeeded as CEO on 1 January by Dr. David Frink, who has been Chief Financial Officer of the Krone Group since the beginning of 2018. Another member of the Krone Holding Executive Board is Dr. Stefan Binnewies, who acts as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
