Packaging technology
Secure packaging with the right machine from Beumer
Every industry has its own particularities and is subject to very specific requirements. To master these, off-the-shelf solutions are not enough. The Beumer Group supplies and installs complete packaging lines from a single source and adapts them individually to the user's products. This enables them to achieve reproducibly precise results every time.

To ensure that goods from different industries reach customers and retailers in the best possible condition, they must be safely filled, palletized and packaged. However, every product has different properties: glass, stones, drinks bottles or bricks can come loose from their bond on truck loading areas due to sharp braking or sudden steering maneuvers and break. Foodstuffs such as flour or cocoa powder must be protected from the effects of weather and moisture, especially during transportation and storage. In these cases, very high demands are placed on the packaging in particular. Chemical and petrochemical products sometimes have high product temperatures and can exhibit unusual flow behavior. Building materials such as cement, mortar or gypsum differ in terms of bulk density or particle size. In addition to palletizing and packaging, filling plays a particularly important role for all these materials.
The Beumer Group knows the specific requirements of the various industries and, as a system provider, can design, supply and install the complete packaging line for users on a customized basis.
Not a grain too much, but also not a grain too little

In the bulk goods industry, the customer needs to fill the manufactured material efficiently into bags. For building materials in particular, but also for products from the food industry such as flour, sugar or cocoa powder, the Group offers the Beumer fillpac. This fills bags reliably, gently, sustainably and with the required throughput. The engineers have equipped the Beumer fillpac with a weighing device. This means that the system always achieves exact filling levels. The packaging line therefore works more efficiently because no bags have to be removed from the material flow due to filling weights that are too high or too low. In addition, the quantity specified on the bag always corresponds to the actual content. Depending on requirements and material properties such as bulk density, flow behavior or grain size, the Beumer Group offers the series as an air filling machine and as a turbine filling machine. Air filling machines are suitable for bagging free-flowing and coarse-grained products with particle sizes of up to ten millimetres. If companies mainly fill free-flowing, fine-grained products such as cement or gypsum, the turbine process is the right choice.
Up to 2,600 bags per hour

Beumer has added a highly efficient form-fill-seal (FFS) system to its portfolio. The Beumer fillpac FFS forms a bag from a prefabricated PE tubular film and fills it with the customer's technical plastics. Salts, building materials, fertilizers and foodstuffs can also be filled reliably, gently and sustainably. This system is also equipped with a weighing device. The system then seals the bags, which can weigh up to 25 kilograms. In this way, users can handle up to 2,600 bags per hour.
Neat and dimensionally stable on the pallet
These filled bags must then be stacked on pallets. The stack should be stable and even. The system provider has the Beumer paletpac in its range for this purpose. This can be quickly assembled, is easily accessible for the operator and can be flexibly adapted to the bags to be handled. Depending on the product requirements, the Beumer paletpac can be equipped with a clamp or double-belt turning device. With the double-belt turning device, for example, bags that are not dimensionally stable due to products with special flow characteristics can be layered onto pallets particularly gently, quickly and very accurately.
Beumer Group
To ensure a high level of system availability for the user, the Beumer Group's Customer Support team has competent specialists around the world who ensure smooth system operation on site. They carry out professional maintenance and servicing, supply spare parts and provide customer training. As part of this customer support, the manufacturer offers a residential service for the chemical industry. This enables logistics service providers to transfer responsibility for the availability, performance and efficiency of their filling, palletizing and packaging technology to Beumer's specialists.
To the customer without transport damage
Depending on the requirements, the palletized goods must stand securely on the loading area during transport or be protected from dust, rain or other weather influences during outdoor storage, for example. With the Beumer stretch hood high-performance packaging system, there is a system for all industries. The full-service provider has further developed this system and optimized it in terms of function, efficiency and ergonomics. It is used in sectors such as the cement, construction and chemical industries, the food and automotive supply industries and the logistics sector.
