More space for corrugated cardboard and cardboard packaging
Liebensteiner Kartonagenwerk processes corrugated cardboard formats into finished packaging. The family business offers a wide range of products, from printed consumer goods packaging to heavy goods and transport packaging. Hörmann Logistik built a 5-aisle high-bay warehouse for the storage of finished goods for Liebensteiner at the Plössberg site back in 2010. In 2015, Hörmann Logistik extended this already 186-meter-long and 33-meter-high high-bay warehouse by a further 84 meters. This means that the finished goods warehouse can now hold a total of 52,000 pallets instead of the previous 36,000. Hörmann Logistik also completed an additional 3-aisle format goods warehouse in 2015 as part of a plant expansion. In the new high-bay warehouse 4, the format stacks of various dimensions produced in the corrugator are temporarily stored. The stacks are transported together on the conveyor system and stored in the high-bay warehouse without any load securing or bottom pallets. Hörmann Logistik's scope of supply included the steel rack construction, the storage and retrieval machines, control technology, the Hi LIS warehouse management and control software and the system visualization. Liebensteiner is a pioneer in the corrugated cardboard industry with this ultra-modern and fully automated warehousing system.
