New LED pointer option from KBS brings light into the container
For even more safety during order picking, KBS Industrieelektronik has developed the new LED pointer for additional compartment illumination. This provides a practical "point-to-pick" feature as an additional optical picking aid.
With the new option, the correct removal or storage compartment is signaled even more clearly during order picking. An LED spot illuminates the shelf compartment and clearly shows the order picker which compartment to pick from. The target compartment can be illuminated at the same time as the eye-catching light or by flashing conspicuously or alternating with the eye-catching light. When the order picker reaches into the illuminated removal compartment, the hand, which is illuminated in red, visually signals once again that the correct compartment has been reached for.
The targeted illumination of the target compartments optimizes visibility and therefore speeds up the picking and depositing processes. The LED pointer module is particularly suitable for use in put-to-light systems such as sorting racks or order picking vehicles. With the LED pointer, KBS expands the possibilities for control, acceleration and error prevention in manual picking processes.
