The courage to take a risk

In the second part of materialfluss's exclusive encouraging survey on the economic outlook for 2023, six other industry experts give their views. Markus Schlotter, Managing Director Central Europe at Exotec, is one of them.

I am currently enjoying the special moments that are gradually becoming a matter of course again after the pandemic - such as visits to restaurants, events and personal contacts. This and motivated people who are driving forward global networking and intercultural collaboration despite the difficult times give me courage to look to the future. I am also encouraged by innovative new technological developments. More and more people are recognizing the potential of high-quality, more efficient and more sustainable logistics, which is driving the trend towards automation. If you want to change the world for the better, you have to break new ground. At Exotec, we are at the forefront and will be announcing successful projects and product innovations in 2023. To quote van Gogh: "What would life be if we didn't have the courage to take risks?" I am convinced that 2023 will be exciting. Not least due to current inflationary developments, which are having a major impact on the economy. Of course, this will present some companies with hurdles. But as we know, challenges always offer the opportunity to reinvent yourself.
